DiDi similar to Uber, is one of Chinese most popular online taxi-hailing platform. To use DiDi in China, you need to download the DiDi app, register with a Chinese phone number or WeChat account, set your pick-up and destination, and choose your ride type (e.g., carpool or no carpool), then confirm your booking and payment method
Catch a DIDI
1. Download and Register:

If using WeChat, ensure your WeChat account is activated and linked to a valid phone number.

Download the DiDi app from the app store (Android or iOS).

You can register using a Chinese phone number or by linking your WeChat account.

If using a Chinese phone number, you'll receive an SMS verification code.
2. Setting up your Trip:

Pick-up Location:
Open the app and allow it to locate your current position or manually set your pick-up point by moving the pin on the map.

Destination:
Enter your destination in Chinese, using an exact address or a nearby landmark.

Ride Type:
Choose your desired ride type (e.g., 快车 - fast car, 拼车 - carpool, or other options available).

Review your pick-up and destination details, and confirm your booking.
3. Payment:

DiDi primarily uses WeChat Pay for payments, which can be linked to international credit cards.

You can also use Alipay, another popular Chinese payment platform.

Ensure you have sufficient funds in your WeChat Pay or Alipay account before confirming your booking.
4. During your Ride:

The app will provide real-time updates on the driver's location and estimated arrival time.
